What is BISCO?

 

BISCO is an acronym for Business Industry School Coalition.  BISCO's mission is to build a mutually beneficial relationship between Watertown Schools and the business community.  The business community believes that better prepared graduates from our high school will help Watertown grow and succeed.  See BISCO Mission and Objectives.

 

 

Every junior and senior can take the Bridges Interest Inventory.  This tool provides you with information about careers in which you seem to have the most interest.  You may retake the inventory again at www.bridges.com. 

 

Once you know the kind of interests you have, the next step is to learn more about careers.  You can make an appointment to talk to one of the school guidance counselors.  They can provide you with lots of information about the careers that interest you the most.

 

You may also wish to call or email any of the BISCO board members to ask them to help you meet a person currently working in an area that interests you.  They are willing to help you set up a visit or maybe even a job shadow.
